The article is devoted to the theoretical and legal analysis of the concept and systematization of the administrative and legal protection of the right of police officers to rest. The system of administrative and legal relations in the field of protection of the right of policemen to rest is disclosed, which includes a legal mechanism aimed at regulating two main groups of social relations, namely: labor relations and managerial administrative legal relations. It has been established that the subjects of administrative and legal protection of the right to rest of police officers are: a police officer whose right to rest has been violated; professional unions of certified police officers; state authorities authorized to control and supervise compliance with labor legislation; judicial authorities. It was established that the national legal system regulates two main groups of social relations: actually, labor relations are governed by the norms of labor law and closely related to them are related administrative legal relations, which include: a) organizational and managerial; b) regarding supervision and control of labor protection and compliance with labor legislation. It has been proven that the subjects of the administrative-legal protection of the right of police officers to rest do not belong directly to the number, actually, of the participants in service-labor relations, but act in the role of subjects endowed with normatively defined competence, who have the right (and sometimes the duty) enter into official and labor relations regulated by the norms of administrative and labor legislation. The circle of subjects of administrative and legal protection of the right of police officers to rest has been determined, which include: a) a police officer whose right to rest has been violated; b) professional unions of certified police officers; c) state authorities empowered to control and supervise compliance with labor legislation; d) judicial authorities. The legal categories "protection" and "protection" were analyzed, in connection with which a conclusion was made that they are mutually dependent, but not identical.
