ANALYSIS OF CURRENT NEEDS OF FAMILIES OF EMPLOYEES OF THE MIA OF UKRAINE IN THE AREA OF PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT

Abstract

The article is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of the current needs of families of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the field of psychological support, which is an important aspect of ensuring the effective professional activities of law enforcement officers. The psycho-emotional well-being of family members of police officers directly affects their psychological stability, level of motivation and ability to withstand professional challenges. The article considers the impact of stress factors associated with official activities, such as risk to life, constant stay in conditions of increased readiness, irregular work schedule, professional deformation and emotional burnout. Particular attention is paid to intra-family conflicts that may arise as a result of professional difficulties of law enforcement officers, as well as their impact on the psychological climate in the family. The article identifies the main methods of psychodiagnostics that can be effectively applied to identify the psychological needs of police families. Based on the results obtained, comprehensive approaches to psychological support are considered, which include both individual and group forms of work with families of MIA employees. The proposed measures include psychoeducational activities aimed at raising awareness of ways to overcome stress, developing emotional regulation skills and constructive communication in the family. The methods of individual and family counseling, crisis intervention, psychotherapeutic work with family members of police officers is outlined, as well as the implementation of socio-psychological training aimed at building stress resistance, developing conflict resolution skills and improving interpersonal relationships. The results of the study can be used by practical psychologists, social workers, and heads of departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine to develop effective programs of psychological support for police officers and their families. The implementation of such measures will contribute to reducing the level of psychological stress, preventing emotional burnout, improving the family microclimate and the general level of resilience of law enforcement officers, which, in turn, will positively affect the effectiveness of their performance of official duties.
