Requirements for the design and submission of the articles to the edition «Law Journal of Donbass»
Requirements for submitting materials to the Editorial Office:
To publish an article in «Law Journal of Donbass» № 4 (89) for 2024 authors should no later than November 29, 2024:
sent information about the author – link;
electronic version of the article, photo of the author should be sent to: donbasjournal@gmail.com;
Prohibition to refer to the aggressor state’s scholarly papers
It is prohibited citing and including in the reference list russian-language contributions published in any country, incl. papers written in other languages but published in russia and belarus.
Academic integrity
The Editorial Board guarantees high-quality anonymous peer-review of articles and their check for plagiarism using StrikePlagiarism.com by the Polish company Plagiat.pl.
Іf the author does not have a degree, it is necessary to submit a review of the supervisor.
The publication fee is 800 UAH (for 12 pages). Each extra page is 50 UAH. The publication fee covers expenses associated with reviewing, article proofreading and editing, journal mocking-up and publication of its electronic version.
The journal’s electronic version becomes publicly available on the website duly.
Journal electronic version will be available on the website before February 15, 2025.
If desired, an author can order a printed copy of the journal. The cost of a printed copy is UAH 800, which is paid in addition to the publication fee.
Authors who ordered a printed copy will receive it before March 31, 2025.
General regulations:
For publication in the journal the authors submit the results of personal (or co-authored) original scientific and scientific-practical researches in Ukrainian that have not been previously published and are not sent for publication in other editions and meet the established requirements for qualified scientific papers.
The article should reflect the scientific novelty in the field of research.
The Editorial Board of the journal reserves the right to reject articles that do not correspond to its subject, technical and ethical standards; return for revision and edit them.
Structure of scientific articles:
problem statement in general terms and its connection with important scientific or practical objectives;
analysis of the latest research and publications, in which the solution of a certain problem is supposed and taken as a basis by the author; it is not enough to list the names of predecessors when describing their contribution to the disclosure of the subject of the article, without indicating previously unresolved parts of the general problem and the causal relationship of their work with the purpose of the article. It is enough to leave 3-4 names of previous researchers (surnames are mentioned in alphabetical order), but briefly indicate the contribution of each, making a reference in square brackets. It is desirable to include an analysis of scientific works of 2-3 foreign authors on the subject of the article (with a link to them in the list of references);
definition of objectives of the article (problem statement);
presentation of the main material with full substantiation of the obtained scientific results;
conclusions on the basis of the recent study and prospects for further research in this direction.
Requirements for the design of the text of scientific articles:
the article is prepared in the text editor MS Word, font – Times New Roman (main text of the article in 14 pt with 1.5 line spacing), without hyphens;
the recommended length of the text of the article (without the list of references and abstract) is 10–15 pages;
first line (left) – is Universal Decimal Classification of the article;
second line (right) – name and surname of the author (co-authors) (bold);
third (and fourth, if necessary) line (right) – scientific degree, academic rank, honorary rank, membership in the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine or other branch academies of sciences (if any), place of work of the author (co-authors);
on the next line – information about the author’s ORCID;
below (in the middle of the line) the title of the article in capital letters (bold);
further – abstract (500 printed characters) and key words (4-8 words) in Ukrainian;
space – the text of the article;
reference is made in square brackets indicating the source number and specific pages, for example [1, p. 25–26], and the names of the sources are given at the end of the article in the order of mention in the text (Part “References”);
bibliographic description is submitted in accordance with the State Standard of Ukraine 8302:2015;
after the part “References” (in accordance with the State Standard of Ukraine 8302:2015) is made part “References” in accordance with the international standard APA. Online transliteration of Ukrainian-language sources is carried out in accordance with ukrlit.org/transliteratsiia.ua.
The translation of the most significant fragments of the bibliographic description into English is given in square brackets in each transliterated source (title of the material, title of the periodical, legal source, etc.). Do not use the characters “/” and Roman Numerals (replace with Arabic). Non-Ukrainian-language sources are not transliterated. At the end of the bibliographic description of each source, the language is indicated in square brackets – [in Ukrainian];
if the described publication has a DOI (the DOI system is an international ISO standard), this identifier must be indicated in the References (at the end), since it is the most accurate source of information about the article, and the “link-publication” connection is followed by it;
at the end, an extended English abstract (at least 1800 characters) and key words (4-8 words) are given. Information about the authors of the article and its title is also in English (author’s name and surname – as written in the passport for travel abroad; the name of the department and organization must exactly match their official name in English).
Please note: the extended English abstract must be certified by the signature of a specialist (signature, name and contact details of the translator).
The authors are responsible for the accuracy of the information, citations, surnames, and the list of references.
