Abstract

The article explores the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in the educational process at institutions of higher education. In particular, it examines the potential for integrating AI into foreign language instruction for future lawyers and law enforcement officers. The paper outlines current trends in the implementation of digital technologies in higher education, with a focus on professional language training. Special attention is given to the potential of AI tools to enhance language acquisition, foster critical thinking, and develop communicative and intercultural competencies. The study analyzes contemporary approaches to AI integration in the learning process, based on the experience of both domestic and international researchers. Recent scientific studies confirming the effectiveness of such AI tools as chatbots, adaptive learning platforms, and generative language models are reviewed. The potential benefits and risks of incorporating AI into language education are identified, along with the purpose and specific objectives of the research. The paper highlights key challenges, prospects, and directions for further research in this area. It is highlighted that AI-based language learning tools can be integrated into educational programs, the latter providing immersion in virtual environments that simulate real-life foreign language communication scenarios. In addition, artificial intelligence methods can be used for continuous language learning, allowing professionals to study at their own pace, receive instant corrections, and practice language skills that are directly relevant to their professional needs.
